KEY STRATEGIC AREAS

P4C works to fulfil its mission and strategic aims by establishing partnerships with government, individuals and other public and private institutions to support a wide range of interventions across four main strategic areas:
  1. Strategic Aim I: Care and Social Responsibility
To promote and practice care and social responsibility by reaching out to most vulnerable individuals and communities at their time of critical need including during emergencies or disasters
promote and practice care and social responsibility by identifying and providing direct support to people in critical needs, especially the elderly and people with disabilities. We work closely with existing government systems to identify individuals to be supported and ensure services are tailored to meet specific individual needs and wishes.

  2. Strategic Aim II: Peace Building, Family Strengthening and Protection
To strengthen the relationships within families and communities and promote prevention of gender-based violence and violence against children within families.
There is no development (to individuals, families, communities and the nation) without peace. We promote initiatives that lead to peace building within communities. We promote peaceful living within families so that family remain the institution where people learn to practice peace and support each other to live to their full potential.

  3. Strategic Aim III: Education and Career Development
To strengthen the capacity of marginalized and vulnerable individuals to acquire education and utilize available opportunities for their career development.
We support most vulnerable children and other vulnerable young people to access quality education and use their education as a steppingstone towards their dream careers. We provide education and career counselling to children from most vulnerable households including those headed by elderly or people with disabilities. We promote career development by encouraging and supporting youths (and the elderly) to volunteer in programmes that support the elderly and people with disabilities.

  4. Strategic Aim IV: Research, Innovation and Creativity
To promote and support the use of research, innovation and creativity among individuals and local communities in addressing local community pressing needs.
P4C promotes innovation (including use of technology) and creativity among individual community members, especially in issues that could contribute to addressing long term welfare and livelihood challenges of vulnerable individuals in our communities. We encourage and nurture individuals with promising new creative ideas and support them to ensure their ideas are nurtured to become a reality. We also promote social and economic research that have potential to contribute to addressing community’s pressing needs, and their findings are disseminated to key decision makers to influence and inform positive decision making. We partner with institutions and researchers from higher learning institutions in conducting research that have a potential to bring direct impact to vulnerable communities and individuals we are targeting.
